Ananya is a counselling psychologist and therapist based in India, working with adults across the world. She holds a Masters in Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai — one of India's most respected institutions for clinical training.
She works from a Transactional Analysis foundation, weaving in somatic, narrative, and trauma-informed approaches depending on what each person needs. Her practice is deeply relational — healing, she believes, does not happen in isolation but in the quality of connection between therapist and client.
Ananya is queer affirmative, trauma-informed, and attentive to the ways that identity, culture, and lived experience shape a person's inner world. She works with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for your own knowing.
"Every person carries an inner logic — a way of making sense of the world that once served them. Therapy is the space to understand that logic, and gently ask whether it still fits."
Ananya draws from multiple evidence-based frameworks, woven together to meet the unique needs of each person she works with.
A relational framework that explores life patterns, ego states, and the scripts we carry from early experience. Practical, insight-oriented, and deeply humanistic.
The body holds what the mind sometimes cannot articulate. Somatic work helps you notice and decode the physical experience of emotion and memory.
Explores the stories we carry about ourselves — and creates space to reauthor them. You are not the problem; the problem is the problem.
Every aspect of the work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma affects the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self.
The therapeutic relationship itself is central. Ananya works with you, not at you — at your pace, in your direction, honouring your knowing.
An approach that actively affirms LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences — attentive to the ways that queerness, culture, and lived experience shape a person's inner world.
Ananya works with a wide range of concerns. You don't need a diagnosis or a clearly defined problem to begin — sometimes a feeling you can't name is enough.
Ananya brings together formal academic training, specialised certifications, and ongoing professional development.

If something feels heavy, stuck, or unclear — therapy can help. You don't need a crisis to begin. Many people come simply because they want to understand themselves better.
The first session is a space for Ananya to understand what brings you, and for you to get a feel for the work. There's no pressure to share everything at once — it unfolds at your pace.
Weekly sessions are generally recommended, especially in the beginning. Frequency can be adjusted based on your needs and circumstances.
Yes — Ananya works with clients across time zones. Sessions are held online, making it accessible wherever you are in the world.
Yes. Confidentiality is foundational to the work. Ananya follows professional guidelines around the limited circumstances where this may need to be revisited — this is discussed at the outset.
Share a little about what's bringing you to therapy. Ananya reads every enquiry personally and will be in touch to find a time to connect.
